If you think dessert has to choose between fresh and fun, we need to talk.
At Guanabana, we’ve always believed fruit deserves a little more excitement. Sometimes that means turning a perfectly ripe mango into a refreshing sorbet. Sometimes it means loading a bowl with fresh fruit, ice cream, sauces, and all the good stuff. And sometimes… it means putting Tajín and chamoy on something and calling it a very good day.
That’s pretty much how we do things around here.
Located in Jacksonville’s Southside, just minutes from St. Johns Town Center, Guanabana is a locally grown dessert shop built around one simple obsession: fruit.
Real fruit. Bright flavors. Tropical combinations. And desserts that don’t take themselves too seriously.

It Started Long Before the Store
Guanabana didn’t begin with a storefront.
Our story started back in the summer of 2014 with a simple idea and a love for the fruit-forward treats we grew up with. From a little tricycle, to a food truck, to making thousands of mini ice pops, and eventually opening our first Jacksonville shop, Guanabana has grown little by little — but the idea behind it has stayed surprisingly simple.
Make things we actually want to eat.
Use real ingredients.
Have fun with fruit.
And never be afraid of a little color.

So… What Exactly Is Guanabana?
Good question.
Calling us an ice cream shop doesn’t quite cover it.
Yes, we make ice cream. But then there are the sorbets. And the paletas. And the smoothies. And the açaí bowls. And the Latin-style fruit bowls. And the sundaes. And the mangonadas…
You get the idea.
Our menu lives somewhere between a Jacksonville ice cream shop, tropical dessert spot, smoothie shop, and fruit bar — with a little Latin American influence mixed into everything we do.
One day you might come in for Colombian Coffee ice cream.
The next, you’re eating a bowl loaded with fresh fruit.
Then suddenly you discover a passion fruit sorbet you can’t stop thinking about.
We support this behavior.
Fresh Fruit, tropical flavors, and plenty of ways to make your bowl your own.
Real Fruit Is Kind of Our Thing
Fruit isn’t the garnish here. It’s usually the main character.
Our smoothies are made with real fruit — some fresh, some frozen depending on the fruit and season — without relying on flavored syrups, powders, or artificial flavors to create the taste.
Our fruit bowls are prepared with fresh fruit.
Our açaí bowl starts with a 100% fruit base.
And many of our sorbets and pops are naturally dairy-free.
That means you can walk in craving something creamy and indulgent, cold and refreshing, or simply a giant bowl of fruit and still find something that makes sense.
Although, fair warning: you may walk in planning to be healthy and leave with ice cream on top.
We won’t judge.
Dairy-Free Doesn’t Have to Be the Boring Option
This one matters to us.
Being dairy-free shouldn’t mean looking at the menu and finding the one sad option in the corner.
Depending on what’s rotating in the case, you’ll find colorful fruit sorbets and other dairy-free creations alongside our traditional ice creams.
Mango. Passion fruit. Strawberry. Mora. Watermelon. Raspberry Lemonade. Cucumber Mint Lemonade. Hibiscus Sunset Tea.
And that’s only the beginning.
We rotate flavors because, frankly, making the same things forever would be boring.
For you and for us.
A Little Latin Flavor, Because Of Course
Some things on our menu need almost no explanation.
Others might require a tiny introduction.
Our Latin-style fruit bowls take fresh fruit and turn it into something considerably less innocent. Depending on how you build yours, you can add ice cream, cheese, sauces and other toppings to create that sweet, creamy, fruity combination many of us grew up eating.
Then there’s the mangonada — mango, chamoy, Tajín, sweet, sour, spicy, refreshing.
Basically, if your dessert makes your mouth water before the first bite, we’re probably doing something right.

Made in Jacksonville, With a Lot of Fruit Along the Way
After years of markets, events, food-truck days and plenty of experimenting, opening our first Guanabana shop in Jacksonville was a pretty big moment for us.
Now you can find us in Southside Jacksonville, near St. Johns Town Center, serving the same kind of colorful, fruit-forward treats that started this whole thing more than a decade ago.
We’re still experimenting.
Still creating new flavors.
Still arguing over which fruit combination is better.
And still very serious about not being too serious.
So whether you’re searching for ice cream in Jacksonville, a fresh açaí or fruit bowl, a real-fruit smoothie, a dairy-free dessert, or something tropical you’ve never tried before, come say hi.
Just don’t ask us to pick one favorite.
We’ve tried.
It’s impossible.
Fruit Vibes Only.
